Terms of Use
MOV is licensed by Lux Transfers Travel Solutions, trading name of AVENIDA SUBTIL - UNIPESSOAL LDA, an operator of individual paid passenger transport in
unmarked vehicles (TVDE) licensed by IMT, with licence no. 100544/2022, under Law no. 45/2018 of 10 August.
1. Who we are
- Company: AVENIDA SUBTIL - UNIPESSOAL LDA (trading name: Lux Transfers Travel Solutions)
- Tax ID (NIPC): 516962515
- Address: Rua Mercedes Carlos Campeão, n.º 10, 3.º, 2460-067 Alcobaça
- Contact: suporte@luxtransfers.pt
2. What MOV is
MOV is a platform that connects passengers who need a ride with certified TVDE drivers, with vehicles that comply with the law. MOV manages requests, prices, payments and invoicing; the transport is provided by the driver (or by the TVDE operator they work with).
3. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old and give true details: verified name, email and phone number.
- The account is personal: don't share it or hand it over. You are responsible for what is done with it.
- You state your gender when signing up (it is used for the "woman driver" option); only MOV can change it afterwards.
- We may suspend or close accounts that breach these terms, the law or other people's safety.
4. For passengers
- Price: before confirming you see the estimated price (distance, time and category). At the end you pay for the distance travelled, up to the agreed price, plus waiting time, any stops you add and tolls (if you choose them).
- Waiting time: the driver waits 3 minutes free at the pickup and 2 at a stop; after that, each started minute costs €0.10.
- Payment: with a card, the ride amount plus a part for waiting time is held and only the final amount is charged; with MB WAY you pay that amount when requesting and whatever isn't used is refunded. Waiting longer than the reserved amount is charged at the end on the same card or in a new MB WAY request.
- Cancellations and bookings: the fees that apply are shown in the app before you confirm.
- Invoices: you receive an invoice-receipt for each ride. You can add your tax number (NIF) in your Profile.
- Woman driver: women passengers can request a woman driver, confirmed by MOV with her ID document. If none is available, the app asks whether you want any driver.
- Tips: are optional and 100 % go to the driver.
- Promotions: the rules of each promotion (for example, "refer a friend") are in the app.
- You must treat the driver and the car with respect, wear your seat belt and not carry prohibited items.
5. For drivers
- To go online you need: driving licence, Citizen Card (or residence permit), TVDE driver certificate, criminal record certificate, proof of IBAN and the car documents (DUA, insurance and inspection), all valid and approved by MOV. The car must be less than 7 years old.
- Drivers who sign up as women choose to receive requests from women passengers only or from any passenger. They go online after MOV confirms their profile with their ID document.
- Commission: MOV keeps the commission shown in the app on each ride (including waiting time). Tolls and tips are 100 % the driver's. Campaigns (such as the weekend one) are announced in the app.
- Payouts: earnings are added up in cycles (1st to 15th and 16th to the end of the month) and transferred to the IBAN provided after the cycle closes.
- Your profile photo is approved by MOV. You must keep your documents valid: we warn you before they expire.
- You are responsible for complying with the Highway Code, the TVDE law and the tax and social security rules that apply to your activity.
6. Safety
- Both apps have an SOS button: it calls 112 and sends your location to the MOV team.
- During the ride, passenger and driver see each other's name, photo and rating and, for the driver, the car and licence plate. Contact between them is made through the app.
- Abusive behaviour, discrimination, harassment or violence lead to account suspension and may be reported to the authorities.
7. Liability
MOV strives to keep the platform available and secure, but does not guarantee that it always works without faults (for example, network, GPS or third-party service failures). Nothing in these terms limits the rights the law gives you as a consumer.
8. Complaints and disputes
- You can contact us at suporte@luxtransfers.pt.
- MOV has an Electronic Complaints Book (Livro de Reclamações Eletrónico).
- In a consumer dispute, you can turn to an alternative dispute resolution (ADR) entity; the list is on the Consumer Portal, at www.consumidor.gov.pt.
9. Changes and applicable law
If we change these terms, we'll let you know in the app and ask you to accept them again. Portuguese law applies.
